    HI there,

I just updated to the new Thelonious update and installed and am using the new Twenty Ten theme however I have an issue with the widgets. They are showing up on all my pages not just my blog which is where I only want them. I cant figure out how to get them off all of them but the blog.. also I removed all my widgets for now but they still show up on my site..

I appreciate any and all help with this..

  • I can see 2 widgets on your site’s sidebar. Check Admin/Appearance/Widgets.

Esmi I see two widgets as well however I took everything out of the sidebar because I only want widgets showing on the blog page. Is there anyway to have the widgets only showing on the blog page.

    thanks Laurie

Take a look at Widget Logic, it lets you specify which pages your widgets do and do not show up on:

    http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/widget-logic/

Also, by default, most themes will display the basic log-in/log-out “meta” widgets even when you do not specifically state for them to show. You can specifically disable them in some themes, unfortunately not Twenty Ten; however, the meta widgets will vanish as soon as you add a widget to your sidebar. You can also change your page template to “one column, no sidebar” by visiting the page editor screen, selecting the page(s) you want to alter, choose “edit” from the drop down menu then select “one column, no sidebar” from the “Template” drop-down box.
