• I am trying to set up some hotspots for a menu. The problems I run into are:

    1. One of the methods I tried was to place the Menu image on the background image itself and try to put the hotspots there BUT, can’t click a hotspot through an other layer and the content background (the one you can change the transparency not the actually page background. I want to do this throughout the site but the pages beyond Home (which is labeled Library” and could be blank.

    2. I want the menu on the left (I will settle for right if there is no other way) but there isn’t a left sidebar in Twenty-Sixteen to put the menu image in. I suspect a sidebar might solve my problem.

    So questions:
I can’t provide the site address because I’m building it locally and I’m not sure of an easy way to let anyone in. Not sure

Anyone have any ideas? Wound placing the image I want the hotspots on in a sizebar solve the problem?

What makes you say you can’t use a normal navigation menu for this?

Because the menu text to click on is located on the spine of an illustrated book.

I’d show you the illustration but don’t see any way to add it here.

So if you know a way to do it I’d appreciate it. There is not left hand sidebar which is ideally where I’d like to put it but I could live with right hand if I could only get it working.

never mind the problem of inserting an image. Think we should focus on one problem at a time 🙂 So I stuck an image in a temp directory

Add Menu background with above div and add menu.
In cases menu on not click so u have use z-index with css.

Ahhhhhhh, that makes so much sense. I was thinking of playing with the zzz’s (which is what I’d like to do about now) but didn’t think of another layer concept. Thank you so much.
