Trying To Mimic WP Header on PHPBB

Greetings everyone! I had this problem a while back and was able to get it fixed through talking with users here. My issue before was that I was trying to get rid of the PHPBB header and replace it with my WP header so that my website would seem fluid. It took me a while but I finally figured out that copying the header info from my index page (via a browser/sourcing) and pasting that info into the PHPBB overall_header file did the trick.

Recently I have changed themes in WP and I am once again trying to figure this out. I used the same steps (at least how I remember them) as I stated above to pull off the same effect and although the changes look fine in Dreamweaver, once I upload them the page will not even load; even after clearing the cache. I am almost convinced this has something to do with the css and one conflicting with another but I can not determine what the issue is.
