• HI

I’m struggling here.. ive installed MAMP on my mac and down loaded my live site but i can see it on the local host. initially i had a database connection issue but after resolving this the screen goes blank and doesnt show anything. Ive downloaded the entire site and now im baffled at what to do next. Any help and advice would really be appreciated

    thanks

Ive done a bit of digging around since and i thinks it know of the white screen of death Ive onscreen the memory size for the memory limit from 32 to 64mb and that didn’t work either

Check to see if there is an .htaccess file, it can be hidden. Delete it if you find it. Then login to the dashboard and go to Settings > Permalinks and resave. This will recreate the .htaccess file locally.

    Hi Gregg

Im sorry but I can’t find the file, I’ve looked to see if its hidden but no luck. Ive still got the white screen and therefore I can’t access the website to re create the file.

    please advise
