Trying to get a working theme

    I am trying to set-up my wordpress blog. I have tried 3-4 or four themes that looked interesting to me, but they make the blog show nothing – everything is white. My husband has tried a couple that work and we are able to reset the blog. I am wondering if we are doing something wrong or if there is a way to know which themes will actually work and stay working (themes breaking looks like a common problem) We will continue trial and error for now.

    You should give more information, or no one will be able to help you. Which themes were you trying to use? Have you already installed some plugins? Sometimes there are compatibility problems between plugins and themes. You should try to disable all your plugins and then install the theme to see if the problem comes from some plugin.

    Without more specifics, hard to say much, but any of the themes from here: http://wordpress.org/themes/

    should work. If you have problems with any of those, you can post in the theme’s own forum.

    If you’re getting themes someplace else, you should ask the developers of the theme if you have problems.
