Troubles with pollscript

Hellow again 😉

I try to install this poll script:

(WordPress 2.0 Plugin: WP-Polls 2.03)
but I have some problems 😉

First:

In witch file can i put this code to see my poll in de right panel of my site (under the links):
[code]?php if (function_exists('vote_poll')): ?> ....[/code]

And my second problem: I can’t insert a poll, when i write (in a message) [poll=id], the text wil be printed, not the poll 🙁
