Check permissions:

Then check if /uploads/2010 exists
Its not a problem with WP but maybe when you upgraded.
where would I find the /uploads/2010 ?
I’ve looked at the index.php and css.php and don’t see this or he 666 or 777 permissions codes.

I see the /home/.montgomery/myphotos/mysitename.com/wp-content/uploads/ and in the wp-content I see “2010 Uploads” and the photos which I uploaded this year.
My question is where do I access the permission codes? How do I find where to access the code?

Hi-
Mind you I’m using a Mac so the screen shots that are shown at the “Changing File Permissions” link are a little different. I was able to change the Unix equivalent number for the index.php but I can’t find the css but did find a wp-content, rss where I changed the permission to 666. And after doing this nothing changed. I still can’t upload photos Argh!
I even changed the Unix number for the entire file ( by selecting monikagraff.com folder and then selecting “get info.” I tried entering 775 and nothing changed. Then I entered 666 as the link suggested and now my entire site has shut down.
This is annoying in that this upload problem only started after installing the new version of your software. Any other suggestions? I’m really in a bind now.

Go back and change what you changed to 666 back to 755.
