Trouble with viewing homepage

    I am working on the Genesis 2.2 Parent Theme. I installed the Executive Pro child Theme which I am currently working on. I linked my homepage to my domain name but my domain is still showing up as my homepage. The content from my homepage is not showing up at all.

    I went to the Dashboard
    I selected Appearance
    Then Menu
    On the left I checked Home- this is a page I created. Then below that I selected Links. I added the site’s URL
    Then I typed Home in Link Text and click Add to Menu and it still does not work.

    I am still seeing the default domain.com page. I want my homepage to be the first page to appear when my domain name is entered.

    Could someone please help me.
