Trouble with Permalinks

Hi,

I’m having some trouble with my permalinks.
I’ve figured it’s a theme issue since this doesn’t happen with other themes… anyone able to help please do so.

So the problem :
Once I set my custom permalinks to /%category%/%postname%/, everytime I go to a page and then want to go back to ‘Home’ page, it is not possible.
The problem is that my ‘Home’ page link is set to take me back to the page I’m currently viewing which is weird…
