• Hello –

I am VERY new to all this and plan on searching for some text books to help me through this. I think I got a little over eager and am in a bit over my head so PLEASE excuse my lack of knowledge and terminology.

I am having a domain moved to BlueHost but went ahead and tried to install wordpress and was going to tinker with designing my space. However, when I try to get to the log in page (www.toddandkim.com/wp-login.php) I am just getting the default page. I cleared cookies and tried again no luck. I installed with Fantastico.

Is it because the domain has not been moved to Bluehost? Sorry again.. I did check some other support requests and tried some of their suggestions. Nothing seems to be working.

  • Fantastico usually installs WP in a subdirectory.

    Thanks for your response..

I uninstalled, then reinstalled and actually named the subdirectory. I bookmarked the page for my admin area. Yet I still can not get logged in.

Is there more information I can provide to help troubleshoot or any other suggestions? I am scouring the other install threads and directions I can find to see if I can resolve.

    Thanks again in advance.

Okay.. I think I got logged in. Had to do with my domain not being transfered quite yet…needed to use a different URL.

    Thanks for the time.

what url did you use? I am having the same problem and have not figured out the url to use.

    I have problems with installation.
I manually created a SQL database, username, password.

    defined it in the wp-config.php

    when using the wp-admin/install.php
i got some errors, but folloed all the steps.
The blog shows up, but when I log in, this is the error that comes up
Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by

    any ideas on this???

Also a simple search would have given you more than 1000 hits 🙂

thank you, I haven’t thought of that…I appreciate your help and will look it up there.
