• Hi, hoping someone out there can help me figure out what happened to my blog. I’ve been using EOS for a while and love it. However, the formatting has recently stopped working on Chrome and IE. Firefox seems to render the theme fine but the other two break in different ways. I’ve re-installed 3.0.4 twice. I’ve also deleted and re-uploaded/activated EOS twice. I’ve checked my wp-config.php file for a leading space before the <?php

    I have the following plugins:
    akismet v2.5.2
    easy timer v2.4
    wordpress.com stats v1.7.5

I’ve created a 2nd install of wordpress and uploaded/activated EOS and all the same plugins and it renders fine in Chrome so the problem is not the theme itself. Something broke and I can’t figure out what. I don’t have any edits or hacks and I wasn’t aware of doing anything specific that preceeded the theme breaking. The default theme works fine.

pictures below show how the broken blog renders in each browser.

    anyone have any ideas? thanks!

    firefox
    IE
    chrome

  • Have you tried disabling all plugins in your site and see if it is working correct then ?

If so, disable/re-enable one plugin at a time to see if alone the site still works. If so, try it again by enable one by one as it could be a plugin not liking another one as both inserting stuff into the header which they shouldn’t be.

thanks, I’ve tried your suggestion. it doesn’t fix the problem. I’ve installed and tried a few new themes and they all work fine. I deleted EOS again and reinstalled from within the admin and it still doesn’t work. I just can’t figure it out because as I mentioned I can get EOS to work with a new install of wordpress but can’t get it to work with my existing install even after re-upgrading to wordpress 3.0.4 and reinstalling the theme and turning off all plugins. weird. thanks for your help though!

Just a feeling but can you try hiding all your posts (or deleting them and moving them to trash). It could be a post of yours somewhere has an unclosed html tag.
