trouble registering for WP with gmail

This is my first post so I’m not sure if I’m in the right forum board.

I have two gmail accounts – one personal, one business. I tried registering for WP, but never received the password email with either attempt. When the first attempt to register failed, I tried again with a different username and second email (I wanted the first username but was told it was taken). WP said both attempts were successful and the password would be mailed in minutes. No emails have been rec’d and it’s been several days.

I finally realized WP might not like Google any more than most people, so I tried an old Yahoo email that I don’t use very often (originally created as a spam email account in case a site looked questionable). I had the password within a minute and had no problems completing the registration. Although getting registered was the important part, is there any way I can:

a) get the original password email resent so I can use my preferred email with my preferred username or,

b)get the original username attached to the yahoo account
