Trouble installing on localhost (MAMP)

Hi,

This is my first time installing WordPress from scratch…

Here are my steps and how you can help me :
I installed MAMP on my mac
I transfered all the files from the rocketlauncher to the the htdoc directory
I configured the wp-config.php file with the localhost info

Now, I’m not able to link to the mysql database. I can see it in my Php admin panel, but I don’t know how to go from here.
Can you help?
