• So this is what my installer is appearing as

    http://smolderingreformation.com/weblog/wp-admin/

    The config file should have the proper database name and password and everything. I confess I haven’t run any apps on this one, I used to admin a phpBB board before on another site, but this one basically has been a glorified attempt to see how far I could push iWeb. So I made a new database and database user and all that, the database user does have read/write permissions.

    Anyone wanna give me an idea why this isn’t working?

    Nobody knows what these errors mean?

    php isnt running.

    http://smolderingreformation.com/weblog/wp-config.php <– NOT so good

    1. get your host to make sure PHP is running, and that the webserver (apache or whatever) is talking to PHP.

    2. REDO your wp-config.php with values that arent publically accessible.

    Do you have php installed on this server?

    and after looking at your wp-config.php, I’ll make a friendly reccomendation to use better, longer keys, and to not have them be the same.

    You dont have to remember them, after all.

    I went to post on my site and got the WP page to upgrade to 2.8.3. I went ahead and downloaded, have the zip file, but don’t know how to continue. I downloaded the instructions as well, but it’s not making any sense. I’m in the Thirty Day Challenge which uses WPdirect and I want to import my website over there. HELP!

    @lady Hawk,

    go start your OWN thread please. your problem has nothing to do with this thread.
