    GeoDirectory plugin will not activate in WordPress.

    Fresh WordPress install 4.9.1 running GeoDirectory “Directory Starter” theme, all other plugins are deactivated.

    here is the error shown

    Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION in /home/newspace/public_html/todoweekend.com/wp-content/plugins/geodirectory/geodirectory-functions/helper_functions.php on line 846

    Any idea what this is?

    Updated server software to version php 5.5

    GeoDirectory plugin activates and works properly

    resolved.
