Tried to install latest WordPress version through FTP

    I am using Smart FTP

    deleted WP-Admin per understanding of Codex instructions. Was planning on doing WP-Includes next but was NOT planning on doing WP-Content.

    FTP stuck cycling on Pre-Transfer Retry Update.PHP

    You can’t update WP that way. You have to update ALL files and then update the database.
    Sorry can’t help with FTP client issues. Try another ftp client.
