– If the above troubleshooting steps that you have tried fail to resolve the issue, try manually re-uploading all files and folders EXCEPT the wp-config.php file and the /wp-content/ directory from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones. Read the Manual Update directions first!
– Always backup everything (including your database) before doing any actions, just in case.

Your saying I need to update to the newer wordpress version?
I think it would be better to try It with the same version. Any idea where I can get an untouched 3.3.2?

No. That’s your choice.
However, if possible, it’s always a good idea to update to the lates release.

Didn’t work. Reuploaded the 3.3.2 over the existing one.
Don’t know what I can do next.
Only can think of going back to an backup of 2012 only all the database data will be old.

What does your site’s apache error log say at the WSOD?

When I turn off the plugins/theme there are no errors from the wp debugger and still got the wsod.
When plugins activated the plugin pages work but the wp pages doesn’t work. Its the same with the theme settings page.
Don’t know how I can get the Apache error log.

Updated to 3.8 and it works fine again..(after database update)
Still don’t know what the problem was and why the “normal” solutions didn’t work.
Interesting tatof. Very Interesting indeed! Your initial post was a complete copy of what I’ve just done today. I’m now suspecting something different. Some background on my set-up: I have two sites. Site ONE has been recently upgraded to 3.7.1 and resides at the top level domain hepburnhome.ca Site TWO is a subdomain in subfolder on server (help.hepburnhome.ca) and has been neglected for a while, ver WP 3.3.1 (? not sure) and last week though I should check in. WSOD!!! Why?
tatof: Is this setup similar for you?
My Hypothesis: The main site has somehow caused the WSOD on the subdomain. I’m going to archive and remove the main files (top level) and rename all folders for top level domain and see what happens.
I will report back. Meanwhile, any of the WP Divas and Gurus care to chime in? Do I need a new thread?

Totally different setup than I’ve got.
But the website looks stable now.. so not going to touch this wp installation “every” again haha 🙂
