• Feature request (or is it a bug?).

When deleting a backup and removing the file from external storage it would be preferable to ‘trash’ it in remote storage rather than removing it completely. The one I’m using is Google Drive.

The reason is that in the undesirable (and hopefully highly unlikely) event a malicious person is able to access the administrator it would be a great relief to know that they cannot completely delete all the backups. At least if one is able, in the worst case scenario, to log directly into Google Drive and fetch the most recent backup out of trash, happiness can be restored.

    Hi,

UpdraftPlus deletes the backups completely because not all remote storage locations have the ability to ‘trash’ files, and we try to keep the experience as consistent as possible.

However, we will look into the possibility of this feature for the future
