transparent shape over image in lightbox

While in lightbox on a single image there is a white transparent shape over the images- especially those in portrait ratio. It seems the bg of the descriptions ‘box’ is overlapping. How do I fix/remove this? Thanks

I was able to add some CSS to ‘fix’ the issue a bit but you can see the darkness when the page loads before my code kicks in, so it produces a dark-light pop on each image which isn’t acceptable. You can see it if you click through the lightbox of the this test gallery:

Please try using the following CSS:

background-color: rgba(0,0,0, 0) !important;
}

Hi, Thanks for replying but it didn’t fix my problem. Please click on the photography gallery (the 3rd from the left) https://pelicancoveart.com/galleries/art-show-2021-gallery/ and you will see that the dark part still exists, (especially noticeable in and out of photo 5c) and then gets covered by the white information block (from the css I had added). The css you gave me made no discernible difference, even when I erased everything I had, emptied the cache, etc. I am putting it in my additional CSS of my theme (Signify). Please advise… thank you!
