    Hello folks!

I have been revising the .PO/.MO files for German because there was a number of spelling mistakes in the German translation and also some translations missing completely.

Unfortunately some of the fields used in the plugin aren’t represented in the translation files at all.

This applies for the label and the pre-filled in text of the search box. It also applies for the case that there are no events at all. There is a translated line showing when no events for a certain day or month are available but the general text is missing in the translations file.

Please check this picture – I’ve put a red frame around the fields which seem to be hard coded in the plugin and cannot be found in the PO/MO files: http://abload.de/img/translation1gfe9y.png

So if I change them in the plugin they are overwritten with the next update. Would be nice if one could change them in the MO/PO files.

    Thanks in advance!

  • Hi Flexxo, I’ll draw this to the attention of my colleague Leah who collates translations/reports of translation problems. Thanks for reporting!

    Hi Flexxo,

Thanks for contributing to the translation! We just updated the .pot files with Events 3.2 and both of the fields you mentioned got added then. I actually just had another user update the German translations for both The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO. You can see in this screenshot that the plugin is more fully translated now: http://d.pr/i/SrDQ

The new translation files will be added to the plugin in the next maintenance release. If you’d like to use them in the meantime, you can download them at http://d.pr/f/PcgR and add them to your plugins /lang/ files.

If you’re interested in translating any other plugins, feel free to head over to our Translations Forum.

    Cheers,
    Leah
