    Hi Marc,

Translation is not taking place on the backend.
A language file is not being found because it is missing from the SilentShield “language” folder: captcha-for-contact-form-7-fr_FR.l10n.php
However, it is indeed present in wp-content/languages/plugins.

    Regards.

    Hi @bonaldi ,

    thank you for reporting this.

First, about the file: captcha-for-contact-form-7-fr_FR.l10n.php not being found in the plugin’s own
languages folder is expected and not an error. WordPress always looks for a .l10n.php file first and
then falls back to the .mo file, and our plugin ships captcha-for-contact-form-7-fr_FR.mo. Tools
such as Query Monitor list the first lookup as “not found”, which looks alarming but is harmless.

The language pack in wp-content/languages/plugins is used as well. Since version 2.15.1 the plugin
loads both: the language pack from WordPress.org, and its own complete French translation for anything
the pack does not cover. We tested this on the current version (2.15.10) with exactly your file layout,
and the admin area was fully in French.

To find out what is different on your site, could you please send us:

    1. The plugin version you are using (Plugins → SilentShield). Before 2.15.1, a WordPress.org
language pack replaced our own translation instead of adding to it. If you are on an older version,
    updating should already solve it.
    2. The language of your user profile (Users → Profile → Language). In the admin area, WordPress
shows each user’s profile language, which can differ from the site language under Settings → General.
    3. A screenshot of a page or text that stays in English.

With that we can narrow it down quickly.

    Best regards,
    Marc

No translation with v2.15.09, solved with v2.15.10.
