Translation feature no longer working

    Hello,

    I’m experiencing an issue with the translation feature in AI Engine.

    When I click the Translate button, the message “Starting translation… 0%” appears for a brief moment, but then it immediately disappears and nothing happens. The translation never starts and no error message is displayed.

    This feature was working correctly before, so it seems something has changed. I’m currently using AI Engine version 3.6.2, I also tried rolling back to version 3.6.0, but the issue persists there as well.

    Could you please help me with this?

    Hi @lorey80 and thanks for this! The progress bar disappearing at 0% almost always means the first translation request failed on the server side. Unfortunately the current version removes the progress notice without surfacing the error to you (it only lands in the browser console).

    Could you:

    1. Open your browser’s developer console (F12 → Console tab), click Translate again, and paste any red errors you see here.
    2. In AI Engine → Settings, check which model and environment the AI Editor Assistant / Magic Wand is using, and confirm the model still exists and its API key/environment is valid. A common cause after “it used to work” is that the configured model was deprecated or an environment changed.
    3. Let me know your WordPress and PHP versions.

    Thank you for the information. The issue was caused by the fact that I had reached my usage quota.
