Subject: Bug Report: TranslatePress Breaking Elementor Editor — TypeError on Editor Init (v4.1.0)

    Hi TranslatePress Support Team,

I am writing to report a compatibility issue between TranslatePress – Business and Elementor that is preventing me from editing popups in the Elementor editor.

    ENVIRONMENT

    • WordPress version: 7.0
    • Elementor version: 4.1.0
    • Elementor Pro version: 4.1.0
    • TranslatePress – Business version: 1.6.2
    • TranslatePress – Multilingual version: 3.2
    • TranslatePress – Fix front-end translation over-detection: 1.0.0
    • Translatepress-PaymentAsia: 1.0
    • Hosting: SiteGround

    ISSUE DESCRIPTION
When TranslatePress – Business is active, the Elementor editor gets stuck on infinite loading and never finishes loading. The editor works perfectly fine when TranslatePress – Business is deactivated.

    This affects:

    • Editing popups (Templates → Popups)
    • Creating new popups templates

The only workaround is either (1) deactivating TranslatePress, or (2) using Elementor Safe Mode.

    STEPS TO REPRODUCE

    1. Install and activate TranslatePress – Business alongside Elementor Pro 4.1.0
    2. Go to any popup → click “Edit with Elementor”
    3. The editor loads indefinitely and never becomes usable
    4. Deactivate TranslatePress – Business → editor loads instantly

BROWSER CONSOLE ERROR (Critical — this is what crashes the editor)

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot convert undefined or null to object
    at Object.entries ()
    at loopBuilderModule.createDocumentSaveHandles (editor.min.js?ver=4.1.0:2:68950)
    at loopBuilderModule.onElementorFrontendInit (editor.min.js?ver=4.1.0:2:68323)
    at Editor.initFrontend (editor.min.js?ver=4.1.0:2:1261178)
    at Editor.onPreviewLoaded (editor.min.js?ver=4.1.0:2:1274228)

This error occurs only when TranslatePress – Business is active. It causes Elementor’s editor frontend to fail during initialization, resulting in infinite loading.

    WHAT I HAVE TRIED

    • Added /wp-admin/, /wp-admin/post.php, /wp-admin/admin.php, and /?elementor-preview to the TranslatePress “Exclude Paths” setting — issue persists
    • Regenerated Elementor files and cleared all caches
    • Confirmed the issue is isolated to TranslatePress – Business by plugin conflict testing

Please advise on a fix or provide a patch. This is blocking all content editing on the site.

    Thank you,
    Colleen

    Hello @cheesygoat

Since the issue is related to the paid TranslatePress Business version, could you please open a ticket on our site: https://translatepress.com/support/?

Additionally, it’s recommended to update to the latest TranslatePress Business version: 1.8, and you can also test whether disabling TranslatePress – Fix front-end translation over-detection helps.

    Thank you for your understanding.

    Kind regards,

    Anca
