Translate portfolio items from Jetpack?

Dear all,
Love the plugin, it does just what it needs to do.
I recently started using custom post types (portfolio items from Jetpack). Unfortunately polylang does not integrate with these post types, so now I had to duplicate all projects in both languages and use a tag to select what to display. The language of the post item however does not determine the language of them rest of the site/menus around it.
Can I do this somehow? Or could you include this integration in future releases?
