    Hi!
I have premium version of “Ultimate Product Catalog”. I use it with Enfold Theme and WPML Plugin.

I created several custom field for use it in “Product Page”.
Now i need translate those fields (English, French, Spanish), but this text that i include in each product doesn´t show in WPML (Strings translate).

What can i do for translate the product content?

    Thank you very much
    a greetings!

  • Hi Alberto

Since you’re directly inputting the name of those custom fields that you’re creating, they won’t be localized and as such, likely won’t be found by plugins like WPML String Translation.

What we would suggest is that you make a separate catalog for each language and create separate custom fields for each catalog.

That way you can be sure to have everything in each language. And, for all the static strings and labels found in our plugin (i.e. the ones you see in the labelling options), we’ve localized all those strings, so they should be found by WPML.

    Hi!
    i will follow your advice.

i have more than hundred products… Is there any way some to duplicate the first catalog in the WordPress panel?

Else… can i export excel file and charge it at the new catalog?

what is the correct way to proceed?

    Thank you very much!

    Hi Alberto,

There’s no way of duplicating the catalog in the admin. But you could indeed export the catalog and use that spreadsheet as the base to create all your products in the second language, and then import that updated spreadsheet to add all the new products. Just make sure that any categories and custom fields you use in the spreadsheet already exist in the plugin admin before you try and import the spreadsheet.
