Hi, checking if there is an update about this.
Thanks
Dan
In my opinion it makes no sense to translate a name. A name is a name, in all languages the same. Isn’t?!
So, I can imagine you will not get this feature with Polylang.

Hi,
Yes a name is a name but it can be written with different scripts. For example Latin characters and Chinese characters. There is already a GitHub issue opened for this feature. See https://github.com/polylang/polylang/issues/162
Hi,
I wanted to know if like posts, authors can translate their name to other languages.
You are correct, a name can be written in a few languages.
And if it’s a site in English and Chinese, the Same author would write an article in English and in Chinese, but above the English article, the name would be in English, above the Chinese article the name would be in Chinese letters.
I see there is a textarea available for bio in 2 or more languages, but the name itself (or the nickname) cannot be set pre-language.
I hope I explained myself well.

@chouby Thanks for the explanation. I didn’t think about that. Now, it makes sense 😀
Any update on this issue?
