Transferring RSS subscribers from wordpress.com

Hi,

Apologies if this has been covered already, but I haven’t yet found anything helpful.

I’m migrating my wordpress.com site to wordpress.org Thesis 1.8 site. I’d like to make the transition as seamless as possible for my readers by not requiring them to update their RSS subscription. Is there an easy way to make my new blog channel into my old wordpress.com feed?

As you can guess I’m pretty new at this so please speak slowly and use hand puppets if the solution requires any sort of technical knowledge.
