I haven’t built my site, but my builders are handing over capabilities to me at my company. They are training me, but I am wondering if WordPress has local training sessions available in SF?

Unfortunately not, WordPress is just software.
You’ll have access to these forums, but as you’re using a custom theme, the support available may be limited.

You might look for a WP Meet Up group in the area – http://wordpress.org/support/forum/meetups

Or a WordCamp http://central.wordcamp.org/ (There’s one in Reno at the end of April – so that’s not too far away.)
