• Total newb here.

I recently installed 3.9.1, but I’m told it’d a blog … want a website (not a blog). I can’t seem to get to my Cpanel.

I tried to upgrade to 3.9.2, but I can’t figure that out either. My browser doesn’t open the core.php file. Then I thought, I’d uninstall 3.9.1 and install 3.9.2 from scratch, but because I can’t find the cpanel … well, you know.

Can someone turn me around and point me in the right direction.
    Thanks.

Managed to find the dashboard/admin panel (it’s now bookmarked). Baby steps.

Do you have a specific question? You found the dashboard. That’s a good start. If you’re just newly starting a blog/website, you probably don’t need Cpanel, yet. That’s for access to your host not your WordPress installation where you would create your blog/website. There’s no technical difference between using WordPress for a blog or using it for a website. It’s just a difference in how you’d organize and display your content.

Cpanel come from your hosting provider, you can ask them the password and login if you want to start using wordpress TLD

I think I’m using the wrong syntax. I’m in the dashboard trying to find the option to upgrade to 3.9.2. I don’t even see where it shows what version I’m using (although I know it’s 3.9.1).

… am trying to learn how to use wordpress … so … just using wordpress as host for what I’m creating, for now.
