Total beginner having theme trouble

    Hello all and thanks in advance.

    I have been trying to switch themes and after trying a few out they will no longer import properly. None of the pictures or anything show up no matter what WP theme I import and it keeps including old information and wording from the first WP theme I tried (Astra Outdoor). Even in WP itself none of the theme previews seem to work either…no pictures, text all stretched out. Tried to reset everything, deactivate all plugins but the problem remains.

    Is there a way I can just install Word Press from zero and start again? If you go to my site you can see what I mean…this theme is supposed to be Writee…but it looks nothing like it.

    Themes generally don’t come with content like text and images, so that sounds normal. You have to add your own content and images.

    Ah okay, thanks!

    The first Astra ones I tried out all installed kind of ‘ready made’ like there was text, pictures, and everything, ie. the themes looked exactly like they did in the preview examples and I was just altering/replacing things as I liked. When I switched to the non-Astra themes they suddenly weren’t like that.

    Yeah, it’s very rare that you’ll find ready-made themes with content. Most theme previews are what the theme _can_ be when filled with content, not what the theme is out-of-the-box.
