I am having trouble using a menu with sub items in the twenty seventeen theme. When I have the menu display without sub items it displays correctly as seen at link below:

However, if I add a sub item to one of the menu options, the arrow that indicates there is a sub item is display very large and in the middle of the menu as seen below:

Any thoughts on what might be causing this behavior?

I have seen this happen with older versions of FontAwesome, where both Twenty Seventeen and FontAwesome style the .icon class. Do you have any plugins installed that use FontAwesome or do you use it yourself for anything?

That was it! I went to review my plugins and was using a Social Media Menu plug in. Right in the description I see it uses Font Awesome. I deactivated and the menu behavior returns to normal.
