    Please use the new plugin name, iThemes Security.

    Start with disabling Scheduled Database Backups (if enabled) and then you could also disable the File Change Detection (if enabled) feature. These 2 are known to potentially use a lot of resources.

    Oh one other thing, every plugin slows down your site… 😉

    Noted on the name. 🙂 I actually have those two already disabled, do you know what will be next thing I can try?

    Is there any evidence that supports the claim of the iTSec plugin “using a lot of resource and slowing down your site” ?

    Without ANY further info its hard to say anything about this? Visitors of this forum are usually not in the paragnostic business 😉

    They actually gave me log when we had spike. Bbpress was #1 and itheme security was #3 on it but it also could be something running at that time. Ill look at the code soon n update.
