too much empty space between rows on front page

I have a logo on the top of my page, then the next row is supposed to be a metaslider that stretches across the page. Then I have 3 widgets for videos in the footer.

I put the metaslider in the frontpage first row, but it doesn’t show up. If I put the metaslider in the home page it shows up. What I want is to be able to remove the excessive empty white space under the menu and around the metaslider.
