    Yes – set it from the options under Photonic → Settings → SmugMug → SmugMug Settings → Photo titles and captions

    Can this be set via shortcode so that different galleries can be displayed differently; some galleries with title and some with caption. Can both title and caption be displayed via shortcode?

    Yes to both questions. For your first question, see the notes in this post.

    For the second question you need to change code, and not all lightboxes lend to a pleasing layout. See this thread for the code change.
