Hello good people, Im trying to remove the title which says “Projects | Mare and Sara” and i cant find the way to do so. On every other page it seems fine but on portfolio, which is the home page in the same time i cant find the way. I tried with the code also in the settings but no success. Please some advice

It’s running that off the title of the page. One way to work around it is to install the WordPress SEO plugin by Yoast. Then, edit the home page and you’ll be able to overide the <title> tag.

Install and activate that plugin, edit the home page, scroll down to the SEO section, and all will be apparent. 🙂

Hello again, well i tried that as well and still didnt work. I can see this code in header.php
    <title><?php wp_title(‘|’, true, ‘right’); ?> <?php bloginfo(‘name’); ?></title>

I dont know if i should do something there in order to change that damn Projects from the title of the main page. This is driving me crazy, i tried so many things to get rid of it but still its there.. Could some1 help?

    1. Please do not bump your thread.

    2. Did you change the page title with Yoast?

    3. If that didn’t work, try changing the title of the page you’re using as “home” as it’s picking up “Project” from there.

Sorry, but I think you’re not actually doing what I’ve asked you to do. Please paste a screen shot of the Yoast SEO section of your home page from the edit page.

Another place to check is to see what you have under Setttings->General for the site name and description.

Also, have you checked with the support team for your theme? It appears to be a commercial theme from http://slrlounge.com/.

I withdraw my “you didn’t do what I said” comment. 🙂

I think it’s an issue with the theme.

Ah thanks for you time and help anyway, hopefully i will find solution.

I was going to ask for the same thing, i have a project as my “home” and the actual title dont show up, i try using the plugin “All in One SEO” in order to change the Title and description and still is not working, havent try the Yoast SEO ( but is almost the same thing as All in One SEO ) so i dont thing that that way works either.

The only solution might be to change the actual heather in the hard way, but what is strange is that all the other projects display the right Title and Description, just the HOME page is the one that shows “Project | bla bla bla” and no description.

roberto: please open a new thread for your question rather than jumping on something a month old. thanks.

Sorry about that Steve, most forums ask to search and keep the same thread if it is about the same problem insted of open a new one to ask the same question.

But thanks for the tip, i’ll open a new one.
