• Hi there,
I really am not technical and had some help initially to set up my website. I have been learning as I go so I will need explanation in really simple terms.
I used the visual editor function on all my pages. Writing blogs, product descriptions etc. For some reason the ‘visual’ function has disappeared entirely. Now it just reads as code. I am really struggling without it. It was due an update which I did, but it has not returned. I then removed, deleted and reinstalled the plugin but this has made no difference. I am mostly up to date with all of the other plugins (barring a couple of woocommerce ones and some themes).
Could it be my themes that prevents it from working? I am worried about updating those in case it wrecks my lay out.
    Any ideas welcome 🙂

Try disabling TinyMCE Advanced (this plugin). Then reload the editor page few times while holding down Shift. That will force refreshing of the browser cache.

If that fixes the problem and you can use the Visual editor, enable TinyMCE Advanced and then reload the editor page few times while holding down Shift again. If it breaks again, open the browser tools and look for JS error(s) in there. Then paste the first few errors here so I can try to figure out what’s going on 🙂

If that doesn’t fix the problem, you will probably have to go through disabling plugins one by one and refreshing the browser cache after each is disabled to try to pinpoint where it comes from.
