Timeout removal

I would like to remove the timeout associated to the “Go to cart” link, and I successfully applied the changes suggested in a previous thread (https://pinpoint.world/wordpress/support/forums/topic/remove-timeout-of-go-to-cart/). However, I suppose I will lose my change as soon as the plugin is updated. Is there a way to keep the changes permanent?
