Any news on this?
The thumbnails shows up in preview but not on the page.
When I put the php for theme file in the footer the thumbnails show up. So the php seems to work, but not the shortcode.
So it might be caused by the module you are adding the shortcode.
As I see you are using a “rich text” module.
Please use another module, such as HTML or shortcode, then insert the view shortcode there.

Ah, I thought you were on to something… I tried the html module and cleared the page cache and they showed up for a minute but then I refreshed the page and they were gone again.

I tested it with Beaver builder and it works well in my end.
I suspect something on your website is causing this issue.
If you have a dev/test site, please try disabling other plugins, switch the theme and see if this fixes the issue.

I solved the issue.
I am using the Zakra theme and in the theme customizer > Content Options, I selected “display on pages” under Featured Images.
