Thumbnails in sidebar

Hello,

I would like to limit the number of thumbnails shown in my sidebar but not the number of images in my gallery.

For example in this page : http://www.sphere-evenements.com/agence-evenementielle-paris-et-ile-de-france/
I’d like to show 6 thumbnails, but when a visitor clicks on it a gallery of 9 images appears.
How can I do that in the settings of nextgen gallery please ?
