• Hi,
my web site is videosharingchannel.com (under construction) ; only registered members can visit pages. Registration is allowed and free . I use WordPress bootstrap 4 as theme . I’ve also these plugins : buddypress, elementor and mediapress for upload files video and photo .
Files uploaded appear on post page ( buddypress activity stream page ).
When I upload file video and/or photo , the file appear with a text reproducing the file name . I click on the text and the player start working . I’d like the video appears with a thumbnail (an immage of the video – like youtube ) .
    How can I do ?
Thank you for your time .

    Hi Marcobronx,
I am sorry for the delayed reply.

MediaPress does not support automatic thumbnail creation for videos. You can manually add thumbnails if you want too.

For the text link, I am not sure why they are appearing as link(They should appear as video without thumbnail). Can you please try switching to default WordPress theme and check this again?

    Regards

    Hi Phil,
At the moment, we have got a local encoder for converting videos. Creating a encoder as microservice and fetching images for remote videos are on our wishlist. We will be adding the microservice in next 12-16 weeks(It will not be part of MediaPress, you can install as a separate software and let MediaPress use the encoding/image extraction from it).

    Thank you
    Brajesh
