@kadastudio, in Gallery Settings, have you read the dialog box marked as “i” (info)?
@tizz: do you also know if it’s possible to set different columns number for each gallery?
@kadastudio – When you are inserting the display via the IGW (“green button”) you can customize each individually under its Customizations panel including the number of columns displayed for NextGEN Basic Thumbnails.
Please keep in mind there are limitation to this that may be theme related based on the thumbnail image size you are using for that display.

@kadastudio – Please give the IGW a try.
It may be possible to create customized shortcode structures to do what you want but it is much easier to use the selection/options approach of the IGW.
