Thumbnail lightbox stopped working

    As of about 4 weeks ago, galleries that using nextgen will not open the images up in a lightbox anymore. Now when you click the thumbnail it just opens up the window directly to the image file. I have not added any plugins and have deactivated and turned back on the plug in. I cannot see any jquery errors either. Any help would be great.

    @nzrobfl – if you have already checked your Theme by switching to a WordPress default theme, and deactivated all plugins and reactivated NextGEN only, the issue may be related to this, see: http://www.nextgen-gallery.com/galleries-opening-lightbox/ . You might also confirm that you’re using ‘post name’ permalinks under Settings >> permalinks. In some cases that works better for lightbox effects.

    I was able to finally dig out the issue related to a jQuery function called LavaLamp.
