Hi, created this post using the USP form.

Theme is Elementor Hello, using the Hello theme builder to create the post template, the blog is using the Classic Editor.

When Featured Post is turned on in USP settings, I get the thumbnail sized image embedded in the post at the top. I have opened the post up in the Classic Editor, but I can’t edit the image/can’t see where this image is located. None of the posts I create in the backend of WordPress have this issue.

Appreciate any help you can give me with this.

Otherwise, the plugin is great, thank you!

Glad to help. Normally that does not happen, so I am guessing it is an issue with the theme (or perhaps another plugin). A quick way of testing whether or not it’s the theme is to temporarily switch to the default WP theme and try again.

Thanks for getting back so quickly. I temporarily swapped Hello out for a WP theme, tested it in 3 browsers, cleared cache and used incognito, but the issue was still there. Is there anything else I can try?

    Thank you!

    You mention this:

“I have opened the post up in the Classic Editor, but I can’t edit the image/can’t see where this image is located.”

The Featured Image is located in its own meta box, usually located in the sidebar. Is that not displaying for you?

Yes the Featured Image box is there, but the thumbnail image was embedded and deleting the featured image did not delete it, not until I deleted the image from the library. Also, it seems to be definitely a Elementor/Pro issue, as the issue is not there when these plugins are deactivated.

However I found a solution that works with Elementor, turning Auto-Display images off in the USP settings fixes it, set it to: ‘Do not auto display submitted images.’ The featured image still comes through in the top banner for my post, but the thumbnail image is no longer there.

Thanks for your assistance with this.

Glad you found a solution. Definitely not something that happens with just USP on default WordPress. Not sure if there is anything I can do for Elementor, but will look into it. Let me know if any further/related infos are discovered, thank you.
