The source where the broken image is appears as follows:

    <img src="http://www.youngwildandbroke.com/" alt="" scale="0">

Of course, your blog URL isn’t an image, hence the broken image. 🙂

This looks like a theme problem to me.

If you use a commercial theme and need support, please go to their official support channel. In order to be good stewards of the WordPress community, and encourage innovation and progress, we feel it’s important to direct people to those official locations. Doing this will provide the developer with the income they need to make WordPress awesome.

Forum volunteers are also not given access to commercial products, so they would not know why your commercial theme or plugin is not working properly. This is one other reason why volunteers forward you to the commercial product’s vendors. The vendors are responsible for supporting their commercial product.

    Hi James,

I just emailed the Coffee and Cream support. Hopefully they respond shortly.

So to confirm, it looks like the problem is with the image file path? As it goes to my blog rather then the proper image file? This is what causes it not to load on HOME page?

If so, is it a theme compatibility problem or am I uploading the images wrong?

Many thanks for your effort and time. It is very kind of you

    Best.

    Exactly.

You’re either inserting the images wrong, or there is a problem with the theme.

    Hello All,

So I went to “Media” tab on WordPress Dashboard. I have checked each image and it says the file URL is: http://www.youngwildandbroke.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/beautiful-girl-london-love-Favim.com-894762.jpg
(or something similar) I believe this is the problem of why thumbnails do not properly load and display a blue “?” icon instead.

Can anyone remind me why it does this? I will upload images from computer then add to media library. Is this a default function? I think I need to file URL to make the thumbnails appear?

    Thank you

That image works just fine: http://www.youngwildandbroke.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/beautiful-girl-london-love-Favim.com-894762.jpg

Do you mean you’re also seeing blank images in the Media library?

    Thread Starter youngwildandbroke

    (@youngwildandbroke)

I am seeing the ? icon with blue box for thumbnails. You can find this on home page. The thumbnails do not load. They also do not load on Blog page.

Ok, try running https://wordpress.org/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/ for all images.

Keep your browser open while the regeneration is running, or it will stop when you close your browser.

I just ran the plugin. all was successful but still getting that demonic ? icon with blue box for thumbnails.

i must be doing something completely wrong. it shouldn’t be this difficult.

uhhhh this is the curse of me

Right click one of the blue ? and choose to copy the image URL (not the link URL). What is the image URL?

    Thread Starter youngwildandbroke

    (@youngwildandbroke)

I do not think i am able to right click and copy image URL. But I did inspect element and I think this might be a CSS issue?

The images I believe are stored in a back end folder wp-content or something of the sort?

    Thread Starter youngwildandbroke

    (@youngwildandbroke)

but in each image I found URL links like this

Well, those images appear to be loading just fine, so they should in the Dashboard too. Something must be blocking them.

Try deactivating all plugins. If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the Twenty Fourteen theme to rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

    WE FIXED IT!!!!

    I found the problematic plugin:
    Jetpack by WordPress.com

I have deactivated it. I am now full force ahead! Thank you so much James. I AM TH HAPPIEST MAN IN THE WORLD RIGHT NOW (except if there is a man that just won the lottery right now.)

You are a true online saint. Thank you
