Thrive Themes Course Editor

Thrive Themes has confirmed a problem with your plugin as soon as I open the course designer. The page doesn’t stop loading. Any ideas?

Hi @mbaschetti,
I installed the Thrive Architect plugin, but I can’t reproduce this behavior yet.
Possibly in your case, there is some script from the Thrive Architect being blocked due to an active integration in Complianz, if it’s being detected as a ‘marketing’ related script.
I would recommend checking which Integration might be related, by disabling individual integrations, one-by-one, under Complianz -> Integrations -> Services/Plugins, and checking if the behavior is resolved after disabling a specific integration.
This will tell you which one is related, so you can leave that one disabled specifically.
Kind regards, Jarno
Sorry, it´s Thrive Apprentice, not Thrive Architect from the same Thrive Themes. If I disable your plugin, its working. 🙂
Hi @mbaschetti,
I misspoke, but that’s indeed the plugin I was actually talking about.
In any case, the steps would remain the same; disable individual Integrations in Complianz until the behavior no longer occurs.
At that point you’ll know which Integration blocked the script in question and resulted in this behavior appearing, and you can leave that one disabled.
Kind regards, Jarno
Thanks. It’s the script for YouTube that’s causing problems. But if I turn it off, it won’t be blocked in the frontend, as it would actually be GDPR compliant, right?
Hi @mbaschetti,
Yes, that would mean YouTube is not blocked on the front-end anymore.
It would be better if we can ‘whitelist’ the specific script from Thrive Apprentice that is being blocked due to the YouTube integration, so we can prevent the issue also when the YouTube integration is enabled.
But as I can’t replicate this behavior on my end, this will require you to take a look at the page source to identify the scripts that we should whitelist. So, re-enable the YouTube integration to make the issue re-appear. And then visit the Course Builder where the behavior should occur again.
Press CTRL+Shift+C while on that page, and make sure you’re on the “Elements” tab. Press CTRL+F and search through the elements for any scripts that contain
text/plain.Could you share screenshots of all the
<script>elements that this yields? You can upload these on a service such as https://snipboard.io/.Kind regards, Jarno
Does this helps? https://ibb.co/m9C9vT6
Hi @mbaschetti,
Yes, that’s exactly what I was looking for. You can navigate to Complianz -> Integrations -> Script Center -> “Whitelist a script, iframe or plugin” and enter
ThriveAppFrontas the URL that should be whitelisted. Then click Save, and make sure to enable your newly created integration by activating the slider.

After which the described problem should not occur anymore, even with the YouTube integration enabled, as the Thrive script is no longer blocked.
Kind regards, Jarno
