I would like to use this plugin with the Thrive Leads content locker plugin. The plugin requires that the content be wrapped in two shortcodes. Essentially, it’s something like [the-locker-shortcode] Some content to be locked [/the-locker-shortcode].

I tried just adding two ads to insert the shortcodes, but it didn’t work.

Is anybody aware of a way to use Ad Inserter with the Thrive Leads Content Locker?

Ad Inserter processes WP shortcodes in own blocks.

However, [the-locker-shortcode] doesn’t have to be WP shortcode. Maybe the plugin has its own processing.

If this is the case you need to change the order of processing so Ad inserter is called before Thrive Leads content locker plugin. To do this you need to change Ad Inserter plugin priority to 10 (or maybe lower):
