I recently moved to a new hosting service and since the change I am getting the error “This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below.”

<error>

wp_die

WordPress &rsaquo; Error

<message>
<strong>Error:</strong> This is not a valid feed template.
</message>
<data>
<status>404</status>
</data>
</error>

Nothing in the configuration has changed, I have tried recreating the permalinks but this hasn’t fixed the problem. I have no idea where to start. The error appears for all the podcasts on our system. Help!

The main podcast page opens fine, it is just the xml that isn’t being created as you can see here https://bluntishambaptist.org/podcast/

Hi @plusmore57,

It looks like there was an error on your site. I don’t see any issues now – the feed looks to be working correctly. Did you manage to fix it?

Hi,

I use the Sonaar MP3 Player plugin and the setting there for the site type had been changed from Music to Podcast. When set to podcast the site had stopped working without me realising. When I changed it back to a Music site the RSS feed that we feed Spotify and Apple with started working again.

What was odd was that I set up a vanilla WordPress site running on a local Linux server and only installed the SSP plugin and added a dummy show with a couple of episodes the same RSS error was there.

Anyway, my problem is now solved.
