This is bad, right?

    When logging onto my page (www.kevinantcliff.com), this is what we see:

    Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /homepages/46/d91181409/htdocs/index.php:12) in /homepages/46/d91181409/htdocs/wp-includes/wp-db.php on line 304

    Error establishing a database connection

    This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can’t contact the database server at db253.perfora.net . This could mean your host’s database server is down.

    * Are you sure you have the correct username and password?
    * Are you sure that you have typed the correct hostname?
    * Are you sure that the database server is running?

    If you’re unsure what these terms mean you should probably contact your host. If you still need help you can always visit the WordPress Support Forums.

    That’s not good. Any idea what it means?

    Whoa! Tell what happened and how you fixed it. Someone else might have the same problem and look to this thread for the solution. This is a living document and others will use it.

    Well, I logged back onto my site, and it was working. If that’s beneficial to somebody, than I am glad to be of service. I’m guessing it was just a problem with my host (1and1.com). They suck, and mess things up from time-to-time.

    That’s an issue with the SQL database you’re using and it’s entirely your host’s fault.

    “Database Connection” means that the SQL server isn’t connecting, so all you can do is open a trouble ticket with your host or wait it out.
