    Hi @mdatikulislam ,

Thanks so much for reaching out—and I’m really sorry to hear you’re running into this issue with your store. That error message, There was an error processing your order…” can definitely be frustrating, and there are a few different things that might be causing it.

To start, one of the quickest ways to narrow it down is by checking for a plugin or theme conflict. If you can, try temporarily deactivating all plugins except for WooCommerce and Square, and then switch your theme to Storefront. Once that’s done, go ahead and try placing a test order again to see if the error still shows up.

Also, if you’re using PHP 8 or higher, it might be worth switching to PHP 7.4 just for testing. Some setups still behave a bit differently on newer PHP versions, so this can help us rule that out.

Another thing to keep in mind—sometimes these order issues are linked to email sending problems. To help make sure your site is reliably delivering emails (like order confirmations), I’d recommend installing a plugin like WP Mail SMTP. It’s a great tool for ensuring those messages get through.

If you’ve tried all of the above and the problem’s still there, the next step would be to take a look at your System Status Report. You can find that by heading to WooCommerce > Status, then clicking Get system report, and choosing Copy for support.

Also, if you notice any fatal error logs, those can be super helpful. You’ll find them under WooCommerce > Status > Logs.

Once you have that info, feel free to paste it here in your reply (you can use a code block), or drop it into something like Pastebin.com and send us the link.

    Hi @mdatikulislam,

Based on your explanation and the error in the log, this appears to be a conflict issue. Since everything works fine on your staging site in test mode, let’s try narrowing it down further on the live site.

Please start by disconnecting the Square plugin, deactivating it, and then deleting it. After that, download a fresh copy of the WooCommerce Square plugin and install it manually via FTP. The issue might be due to a corrupted installation. Once reinstalled, activate the plugin, reconnect it, and check if the issue persists.

If the problem remains, try switching your PHP version—starting with 7.4—as the current PHP version could be contributing to the issue. I also noticed that you’re using the WooCommerce Zapier plugin. It would help to temporarily deactivate it during testing to further isolate the conflict.

Let me know what you observe after these steps.

    Hi @mdatikulislam,

    Thanks for the update!

Since the issue happens only in live mode and the checkout hangs after the validation step, it may be related to a failed or blocked AJAX request.

Could you please do the following?

    1. Open the browser’s developer tools (right-click → Inspect → go to the Console and Network tabs).
    2. Try the live checkout again, and when the loading hangs:
      • Check the Console tab for any red error messages.
      • In the Network tab, look for any requests that show as failed, especially any starting with ?wc-ajax=… or related to Stripe.

If you can take a screenshot or copy the error details, that will help us pinpoint the issue.

Also, are you using any security or caching plugin? And is your site running behind Cloudflare or another CDN/proxy?

    Looking forward to your findings!

Thanks for Support me. Woocommerce Subscription plugin was culprit. when I roll back older version of woocommerce subscription. then work but checkout page speed slow.

    Hi @mdatikulislam ,

Thanks for reaching out — I’m glad you brought this up.

It sounds like the issue was coming from the WooCommerce Subscriptions plugin. Rolling back to an older version may have resolved the problem temporarily, but I totally understand how the performance slowdown isn’t ideal.

Since this involves a premium extension (WooCommerce Subscriptions), the best next step would be to get in touch with us directly through your WooCommerce.com account. You can do that by heading to: WooCommerce.com → My Account → Support.
