    Hi hobbes6598,

Please can you post a link to your site so I can take a look? How are you adding the menu to the sidebar? Usually that would be a navigation menu widget which wouldn’t be affected by Max Mega Menu.

    Regards,
    Tom

    Hi Tom,

Thanks for the response. Here is the URL:
    https://joannemanzellaphoto.com/wordpress

I first create my “Quick Links” menu using the normal Appearance > Menus but do not assign a location. Then I create a Page and use the Themify “Menu” module, selecting this menu. I do something similar for footer. But for the footer I create a Themify Layout Part and then use the Menu module there too.

When not on Max Mega Menu, it displays correctly. But when activating, it converts the Quick Links to the main nav menu items. This seems to only happen on the Themify Basic theme. If I switch to the “Sinatra” theme, it displays correctly.

I even tried to do what’s been described as a fix when using the Themify Ultra theme but that didn’t seem to work.

I was just about to log a ticket with Themify but will await news from you.

Right now the site has the Max Mega Menu activated. Please let me know if you want me to disable.

    Thanks

    Hi Joey,

That is probably the most helpful test page anyone has ever set up – thanks!

The Quick Links/menu module must be using wp_nav_menu to output the menu, but (the important bit) also specifying the ‘theme_location’ parameter as being the main navigation menu each time. In a standard theme, that won’t make any difference, because the given menu ID will be given priority, but the way MMM works is to override the output of wp_nav_menu whenever the it see’s the theme_location is enabled.

In short, to fix it you should be able to go to Mega Menu > Menu Locations. Expand the Main Navigation location, go to the Advanced tab and set the Active Menu Instance to “1”.

    Regards,
    Tom
